Cocobella: When did you discover your talent for recipes/ food styling/ photography?
Chloe: When I started down the plant based and wheat free path (on advice from my acupuncturist) I had to teach myself new ways to cook. This in turn led to the birth of “@the_smallseed_” and the healthy, plant-based foods that I enjoy creating and sharing today. My love of food styling and photography grew with the evolution of my love of creating and sharing what I made via my IG account.
Cocobella: You share a lot of amazing food but not a lot about you. What is something we didn’t know about Chloe Munro?
Chloe: I love trees and am at my happiest when surrounded by them – I find their energy uplifting. I am a firm believer in Karma – what goes around comes around and I love to travel, visiting new places and experiencing new cultures – and obviously sampling their food too.
Cocobella: What five ingredients could you never live without?
Chloe:
- Nuts. They are so versatile: they can be made into creamy sauces, cake bases, mylks, snacks and so much more.
- Fresh herbs. They add so much depth to any dish
- Fresh turmeric. For its healing and earthy properties
- Coconut water. For hydration and to lighten up my smoothies. I love using it in my winter porridge as it adds a natural sweetness, a lighter option to using nut mylks.
- Avocados. Just because! Super healthy and really versatile – can be a simple, quick snack but can also be used to make the most decadent dessert!
Cocobella: How do you find time to prioritise cooking/ prepping healthy delicious foods everyday?
Chloe: Good question…..sometimes I wonder myself! I try to plan out my week on a Sunday and then use half a day to gather together all my ingredients – then depending on what collaborations I am working on I get to work….making the most of the time the kids are at school!
Cocobella: Any tips for someone starting out in content creation and wanting to build up a following?
Chloe: Find something that you are passionate about and pour your love and energy into what you create and share – being consistent in terms of posting and engaging with your followers is also very important. Become part of the community and connect with like minded people. Be AUTHENTIC in everything that you say and do.
Great advice. Thank you Chloe! Now get creating and pouring your love out into the world. We might be featuring you on our blog next : )
