Crazy for coconuts? Of course, we are!
Coconut water is one of Mother Nature’s greatest sources of hydration and it never ceases to amaze us. This time, it’s our beauty routine that is reaping the rewards.
This month we are using Cocobella Straight Up Coconut Water to freshen and nourish our skin.
Read on for three quick and easy ways to add a little extra hydration into your beauty routine — with a Cocobella coconut water mini-facial! Using only six ingredients, it’s super simple and a great excuse to enjoy a little self care. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Cocobella Straight Up Coconut Water
- ½ small lemon
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- ¾ cup oats
- ½ banana
- 10 raw whole almonds
Method:
- Simple cleanse
In a small bowl, mix a few drops of lemon juice into a tablespoon of Cocobella Straight Up Coconut Water. Gently apply this mixture to a clean face, softly.
Leave to rest for five minutes and then rinse clean with lukewarm water.
The coconut water will soothe and hydrate the skin, and the lemon juice will clear and brighten your complexion.
- Gentle scrub
For a comforting and smoothing experience, try mixing the coconut oil with a teaspoon of our Straight Up Coconut Water and a pinch of finely blended oats (we would suggest blitzing quickly in a NutriBullet or similar!).
Gently massage the light scrub into your face, taking care of sensitive areas like the eyes. Rinse clean with lukewarm water.
The coconut oil will gently remove daily build up on the skin, where the coconut water and oats will gently exfoliate.
- Mask it
For a super soothing experience, blitz half a cup of whole oats, banana, raw whole almonds and a tablespoon of Cocobella coconut water into a paste, spread onto clean skin evenly, avoiding sensitive area like the eyes.
Now for the fun part – relaxing time! Take ten minutes to read a book or check out your favourite Instagram feeds while the mask does its job. Rinse clean with lukewarm water.
This mask will relax the skin, allowing the coconut water to penetrate your pores for an extra hydrating experience.
